Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Based on JIS X 8341-3:2010, the authors did the simple tests of web accessibility for visually impaired persons to 47 National University Hospital Websites in Japan in January 2014. As results the authors conclude that the accessibility is not enough in many websites, mainly due to a complex structure of webpage, lacks or miss-descriptions of alt-attribution in image-tags, fixed small characters and insufficiencies of color contrast between color of characters and of backgrounds. To improve this situation, the authors propose a systematic approach by an each hospital to understanding HTML and web design for visually impaired persons better.
