| Abstract(in English) | 13 years has passed since the world first 4K digital cinema demonstration at SIGGRAPH 2001. In 2005, Hollywood major 6 studios documented the digital cinema standard as DCI's Digital Cinema System Specification, including 4K image quality. Today, more than 125,000 screens have changed into digital around the world. It is said that Digital Cinema roll-out has done. The new Japanese technology, called 4k image, has accelerated this process. This paper presents the overview of the digital cinema deployment and explores its alternative new applications using 4K image technologies. |
