| Abstract(in English) | The mobile data traffic explosion with the nation wide deployment of 3.9G LTE (Long Term Evolution) mobile service, the spread of the smartphone device that enables high speed browsing and high quality video streaming have brought new challenges for mobile operators. On the other hand, the diverse types of applications and new services being launched such as VoLTE, the need to maintain the Quality of Experience while preventing service outages and minimizing service impact upon failures has raised importance. Meanwhile, with the expected growth of the M2M (Machine to Machine) communication market, the application of network virtualization technology to enterprise networks and further to mobile core known as EPC (Evolved Packet Core) are urgent issue for operators to achieve efficient operation and management of the mobile communication. In this paper, we describe some new challenges surrounding the mobile network operation and its management brought by changes of mobile devices, mobile networks, and applications, and also introduce our current activities to solve these problems. In addition, we describe the deployment of new protocols such as SPDY that are quickly replacing the existing transport layer protocols, UDP and TCP, and session layer protocol HTTP, and describe their impact on mobile networks. Finally, we introduce some research activities using BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) tags and gadgets which are expected to deploy rapidly in the near future for efficient communication management. |
