Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In recent years, the useful services based on position information have attracted attention along with the growth of smartphones. GPS (Global Positioning System) is mainly used to obtain position information. In case of indoor positioning, most of the GPS signals cannot be received in line-of-sight. However, GPS receivers can receive the incoming signals in no-line-of-sight even if we are indoor. Such indirect pahts are affected by signal distortion (diffraction, reflection or multipath) by near buildings. In this paper, we focus on the GPS signals which can be received indoors in order to perform the positioning without installing new infrastructures such as wireless LAN. The received signal power of the GPS signal varies in different locations. We propose a new indoor positioning method based on the fingerprinting technique using the GPS signals. We also evaluate the proposed method by experiments.
