Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In recent years, shopping malls become larger, thus it is difficult for many people to move without getting lost the way in such a large mall. In this paper, the navigation system for these people is proposed. The system is designed by ZigBee sensor network which can connect a lot of terminals with low-cost and low power consumption compared to the other short-range wireless communication systems. Moreover, ZigBee has a function of positioning using RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indicator). The positioning function can be used in situations where GPS(Global Positioning System) cannot be utilized. In this paper, the navigation success rate and the average navigation time of the proposed system are evaluated. And, the performances are compared in case that the proposed system is used or not used. From the simulation, effectiveness of the proposed navigation system is shown.
