Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose a traffic control system using a technique based on a communication network. Autonomous cars (robot-cars) are controlled centrally as packets in optical networks. This system incorporates two methods that assumes the robot-car technology, a method of performing routing of a car and a method to allocate the cycle of the traffic signal. Moreover, we verified its efficiency through computer simulations. The simulation results show a maximum throughput in a model of a controlled area when using the proposed system. We confirm that the proposed two methods are effective in enhancing the throughput of a controlled area.
