Toward QoE-centric Operation of Telecommunication Services

Abstract(in English) The rapid spread in the use of mobile terminals such as smartphones has accelerated the speed of evolution of telecommunication services, resulting in a great diversity of such services. The quality of experience (QoE) of conventional telephone network services has been directly related to network performance. However, the QoE of current telecommunication services is affected by not only network performance but also terminal and server performance. This paper proposes a framework called "QoE-centric operation" for improving QoE, and introduces several technical issues for achieving this concept.
