Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This study investigated correlations among social factors: daily communication skills, practice strategies, and evaluation of ensemble music performance. We employed questionnaires as follows: performance questionnaires created by us, a scale for social skills, a scale for strategies toward interpersonal conflict, a scale for nonverbal behaviour, and questionnaires on leadership. Three main findings are that: (a) daily communication skills influence appropriate practice strategies in ensemble performance; (b) high evaluations in ensemble performance are linked with effective practice strategies; and (c) social skills are likely to enhance ensemble evaluation via practice strategies.
