Abstract(in English) We have developed a dome-shaped unified input device "KHAKI," enabling smooth switch between graphical user interface (GUI) operation and character input operation. Previously we implemented character input by the multi-tap method, but the input of voiced/semi-voiced consonants and small characters input has not been provided. This was because the number of assigned keys was less than a keyboard and thus the variety of available keys was insufficient. In this study, we propose "flick operation using five fingers" as a new character input method. With this method, we enabled input of kana characters, symbols, and special keys, which was not available by our previous system.
