Abstract(in English) Effectiveness of ear shape in the biometric authentication is known and ear shape which has captured on security camera is sometimes used in criminal investigation. Difference of shooting angle between suspect database and security camera is an issue on criminal investigation. We considered effectiveness of kernel PCA, nonlinear method to solve an issue of difference of shooting angle. In result, it is revealed that nonlinear method is more effective than linear method.
