Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, security incidents caused by Drive-by Download attacks (DBD attacks) which exploit vulnerability in browser or browser's plug-in and infects user's machine with malware have increased. In DBD attacks, an attacker prepares many exploit-codes which target vulnerability in various software such as Web browsers, Adobe Reader, Adobe Flash, Java, and constructs a mechanism for selecting a suitable exploit code for a client environment. In order to provide effective countermeasures against DBD attacks, we have proposed a framework for countering DBD attacks. In the proposed framework, we deploy sensors that work inside web browsers on a large scale. The sensor collects information of web browsing while a user is accessing websites. Then we analyze the collected information for detecting suspicious manipulated or malicious websites quickly. In this paper, we propose a novel malicious website detection method focusing on redirection control based on client environment.
