Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | On-demand e-learning makes it possible for potential learners of Japanese at different proficiency levels to access learning materials that fit their level and needs on their own pace anytime, anywhere. On the other hand, it is well-known that most learners cannot continue to study on their own for an extended period of time. This is part of the reasons why "blended" learning and "flipped classes" have become more popular in the past decade or so. Most existing e-learning material for the Japanese language is designed on the basis of objectivism and the author would argue that this is part of the reasons learners have difficulty continuing to study those materials on their own. In order to overcome this problem, we propose constructivist approach to contents design for a new on-demand e-learning system that prepares learners for JLPT(Japanese-Language Proficiency Test). |
