Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper describes an attempt for acquiring attribute frames for noun concepts in the noun conceptual dictionary from explanatory texts in the Wikipedia as a part of the integrated narrative generation system. An attribute frame defines characteristics of a general or proper noun concept and is used to construct a character, object, or location in a narrative to be generated by the integrated system. In this paper, in particular, we will propose a method for constructing attribute information based on sentences' semantic types which are identified with syntactic patterns and categories of consisting noun phrases using linguistic theory by Nishiyama.
