Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper considers a total transmit power minimization problem under per-antenna power constraint and sum-rate requirement for multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) transmission. The singular-value decomposition (SVD) creates multiple orthogonal spatial streams. Then, transmit power is allocated to each stream in order to satisfy the sum-rate requirement. We formulate the optimization problem and solve it by Lagrangian dual decomposition which requires an iterative update of Lagrangian multipliers. To avoid such an iterative update, we find a closed-form optimal solution by observing a feasible region. We show by numerical analysis that the closed-form solution gives the same performance as that of the iterative algorithm and that the total transmit power is minimized while the sum-rate requirement is satisfied.
