Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The impact of intra-channel cross talk in high-speed optical switching of multi-level modulated optical packets is analyzed. To overcome the capacity bottleneck due to the crosstalk, a multicarrier (MC) modulation technique for optical packet payloads is proposed. We derive the adaptive modulation algorithm for the MC packet and its performance is via numerical simulations.
