Abstract(in English) Looking ahead to the coming aging society with fewer children, the network operation is desired to improve its workload-efficiency drastically. We propose a novel optical transport network, "Maintenance-Free-Oriented Optical Transport Network", which can reform the conventional on-site network operation "truck-rolls" to "scheduled maintenance". We describe the key technologies to realize such a network and explain the features of the programmable reliability and highly-efficient spare resource sharing and its allocation. Finally, we report the result of live-demonstration using the proposed key technologies.
