Abstract(in English) | We design and fabricate dispersion stable highly nonlinear fibers of which dispersion fluctuation along fiber length are suppressed. We apply the dispersion stable HNLF to a 2-stage quasi phase-matched fiber optical parametric amplifier and confirm that the amplifier has flat gain of 22 dB, gain bandwidth of 50 nm, noise figure of 4.4 dB within C-band. In addition to this, we measure amplification characteristics for an input of 7-WDM signal where 7 continuous wave signals are wavelength division multiplexed. We found that a ratio of amplified 7-WDM signal to redundant four wave mixing signals is about 20 dB when input power is -20 dBm/ch and that gains and gain flatness and noise figures are almost constant over the input power range of 30 dB. |
