Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We experimentally generate highly-precise 28-GBaud DP-64QAM signal using an InP-based semiconductor optical IQ modulator with high-speed DACs and digital signal pre-compensation. With the compensation of finite extinction and asymmetry of child-MZ modulators, most typical causes of degradations in semiconductor modulators, we successfully demonstrate high-quality 64QAM signal generation and its fiber transmission for the first time with almost comparable modulation accuracy as LN modulators.
