Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) On a phase unlocked WDM carrier signal transmission, the generated Four-wave mixing (FWM) lights behave stochastically, and on the phase locked transmission, the generated FWM lights behave deterministically. We analyze the crosstalk yielded by FWM process on the phase locked/unlocked system to make clear the difference of behaviors. The power penalties (PP) are derived and compared. The phase locked system has a 5dB advantage in OOK over the phase unlocked system at IdB of PP. In BPSK, the phase locked system has no power penalty. In QPSK, the advantage of the phase locked system is very small.
