Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A hybrid sensor of quartz-crystal-microbalance and surface-plasmon-resonance was prepared by using an AT-cut quartz substrate as an optical waveguide and by exciting surface plasmon at the surface of the QCM metal electrode. In-situ evaluation of cationic poly(allylamine hydrochloride) (PAH) and anionic poly(styrenesulfonate) (PSS) layer-by-layer film deposition was conducted. The estimated thickness of the deposited film from the SPR result tends to be smaller than that from the QCM result and remarkable difference was observed for the result obtained using aqueous solution of pH 2.5. It was estimated that amino group of PAH was ionized at low pH solution and it induced repulsion between the polymer chain; the polymer film swelled and mass of sorbed water was detected.
