A Propose of Modified Stochastic Cell Transmission Model for Traffic Simulation in General Road Network

Abstract(in English) Predicting traffic conditions, the travel time reliability is important to provide travel information for drivers, a stochastic cell transmission model (SCTM) has been proposed as a model to evaluate the travel time reliability. SCTM can represent an uncertainty of traffic state due to changing of travel demand or supply condition. The SCTM is only applied to simple networks and highways. In this study, we propose a modified stochastic cell transmission model (MSCTM) that apply the SCTM to general road networks. In empirical study, we confirm the reproducibility of the MSCTM in general networks, and the travel time reliability in links.
