Abstract(in English) | The technological developments of Co-alloy perpendicular (PMR) thin film media and their microstructure, compositional structure, and recorded magnetization structure characterizations are reviewed. Based on the experimental data, future possibilities of PMR media are discussed. The technology in controlling the easy magnetization axis of future PMR media materials with high K_u values; CoPt, FePt, SmCo_5, etc. is also mentioned. A magnetic force microscope (MFM) technique with the spatial resolution less than 10 nm is developed by improving the magnetic tip which is the key component in MFM system. |
