Analysis of Relationships between Browsing Behaviors and Interests on Social Streams

Abstract(in English) In recent years, the performance of smart phones become high and could be treated as same as personal computers in various situations. When a user uses a smartphone, we can obtain the information of the behavior of the user. We are working on the development of methods for supporting a user to browse social stream effectively by utilizing the behavioral information of browsing social streams on a smartphone by the user. In this paper, we introduce a method for estimating the degree of interest on an article in a social stream based on the browsing behavior for the article on a smartphone. In this research, we suppose a hypothesis that the behaviors that occur while a user browse an article in a social stream reflect the interest of the user on the article. In this paper, we examine our hypothesis based on some experiments.
