Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) High frequency broadband ultrasonic transducers were manufactured simply by sol-gel composite films for high resolution imaging of living tissue. Characteristics of sol-gel composite ultrasonic transducers were low acoustic impedance and broad bandwidth without backing material, owing to micro porous in piezoelectric film. ~8μm and ~2μm thick porous films were fabricated on 3mm thick titanium substrates using normal PZT bulk powders and small PZT powders made from PZT sol-gel solution. Ultrasonic measurement in pulse echo mode was attempt and the ~50MHz center frequency was obtained by FFT of the 1^ reflected echo from the ~8μm thick sample.
