Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Object detection is one of key technologies in modern image processing. Performance of object detection can be described by runtime speed, detection rate and estimated position accuracy. There exist a number of articles for speed and detection rate improvement. On the other hand, for position estimation accuracy, many studies have been accomplished. However attention in academia seems still remaining low, whereas practical importance is so high. In this survey paper, we describe its practical importance, reviews of existing work and future prospect as well.
