| Abstract(in English) | Book cover images give users not only impressions of contents intuitively but also clues for search and browsing before or after buying books. In this research, we proposed a color and symbol extraction method for automatically creating book cover images reflecting readers' impressions from contents and reviews. To convert texts to colors, we constructed a database focused on the relationships between adjectives. We created the images applied extracted color and symbol to the published cover image for two novels. In a usability test with 20 participants, we confirmed that the images created by this method were more reflected reader impressions than published cover images. |
