Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This work validated effects of improvisation workshop on group discussion by analyzing subjective ratings from participants and objective measurements of their non-verbal behaviors by sensors during the discussion tasks. We compared two group discussion tasks with 8-person which were held before and after the improvisation workshop. The subjective evaluation confirmed positive effects of the improvisation on the subsequent discussion in terms of participants' encoding ability, decoding ability, assertiveness, satisfaction with group discussion, and intragroup conflict (task conflict). Also, an analysis of the non-verbal behaviors showed that volume of voices and hand gestures of participants increased after the workshop.
