Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) To generate the ultrashort pulse which overcome the fluorescence spectrum limit of the gain materials, we composed Kerr-lens mode-locked Yb:YAG laser with an intra-cavity highly nonlinear medium and analyzed wave propagation in the cavity. We obtained the pulse width of 65 fs and the spectrum width of 17 nm in experiment. We also obtained the pulse width of 35 fs and the spectrum width of 50 nm in theoretical analysis. These results show potential that the ultrashort pulse generation can overcome the limit of any gain material by the innovative scheme.
