Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Arc discharge duration was measured in the boundary area (voltage and current) in which arc discharge initiates. The arc discharge was found to approximately proportional to an average duration of arc discharge, when the current was changed at the constant voltage. For the current level at zero (0) arc discharge duration (i.e. critical point) settles at one point was found by various voltages. Moreover, this fact is not affected by surface conditions of contact. When at one side member nickel and brass contact at either side, critical point was found still similar, however difference was found in the shifts of average arc discharge duration.
