Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Eyetracking has been used for understanding the language processing mechanism recently. In this research, we try to learn the cognitive processes of second-language by analyzing the eye movement of Japanese native speakers and non-native speakers during speed reading. We break the cognitive processes of speed reading down to several phases. In each phase, typical patterns of eye movement are extracted. Analyzing these patterns leads to better speed reading skills and more accurate evaluation of linguistic abilities.
