Abstract(in English) This paper discusses the heating properties of the resonant cavity applicator with the developed three-dimensional (3-D) anatomical human knee model using the finite element method for treating osteoarthritis (OA). In this paper, first, the heating method with the resonant cavity applicator is presented. Second, the proposed method of reconstructing the 3-D anatomical human FEM model to calculate specific absorption rate (SAR) distributions is described. Third, the results of SAR distributions are discussed. Finally, the results of the SAR distributions for the resonant cavity applicator is compared with the SAR distribution for RF type applicator.
