Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Fuel cells are attracted attention as countermeasures against global wanning. Polymer Electrolyte Fuel Cells (PEFC) is counted on diffusion in fuel cells, because it is operation at low temperature and, small and rapid start-up. In order to diffuse PEFC, development of new PEFC separator with high intensity, lightweight and low cost is necessary. In this report, new separator was made on resin by electroless nickel plating. The nickel plating on an epoxy resin selected from the resin of various types had uniformity and excellent adhesive properties. PEFC using this separator was operated as the high potential battery. Furthermore, a relation between a plating film thickness and battery characteristics was evaluated by measuring the electric resistance and contact resistance of this separator. The plating film thickness affected electric resistance and contact resistance of this separator.
