抄録(英) | In this paper, we introduce a combined differential navigation and communication scheme for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) called AeroHelper to support search and rescue activities in response to fire hazards at high-rise buildings. The AeroHelper is navigated by a proposed scheme based on GPS and IMU sensors. It also is designed to carry some aided facilities needed for firefighting. Cameras and other sensors are also attached to the system for data acquisition. Experimental scenarios and measurements obtained by implementation of combined differential/stepped navigation and communication scheme are analyzed in details. The results indicate the advantages of the proposed solution compared to manually remote navigation mode. |
