抄録(英) | Precision agriculture is a farming management concept which combines conventional farming method with new technologies such as satellite/radar imaginary and information technology. In year 2012, the design and development of precision agricullture monitoring system has been commenced by Multimedia University, Malaysia. This system consists of a ground based multi-band radar, wireless environmental monitoring system as well as multi-spectra camera. The main objective of this hybrid system is to develop a real-time monitoring platform for rice growth. In this research project, a tri-band (L-band (1.27 GHz), S-band (3.125 GHz) and C-band (5.3 GHz)) FMCW radar system will be developed. The bandwidth of all the frequency bands are targeted at 400MHz. This paper highlights the design and development of the hybrid ground-based system as well as the current status of the system. |
