Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Magnetoelectric(ME) laminated composite consisted of ferroelectric- and ferromagnetic-layers show higher ME coupling at room temperature. However influence of the stacking condition have been still unclear. ME coupling measurement was carried out on laminated composites with different stacking conditions. In addition, magnetostriction was measured by strain gauges. Both of the ME coupling and the magnetostriction increased with increase of number of layers. It is suggested that interfaces between ferroelectrics and ferromagnetics take a role to propagate magnetostriction caused in the ferromagnetics to the ferroelectrics. The magnetostriction induces polarization in the ferroelectrics. Therefore the composite sample with larger number of interface show larger magnetoelectric effect.
