Abstract(in English) | We propose the REMOte Collaboration Open Platform (REMOCOP) to meet the demand for remote collaboration to accommodate distributed human resources. REMOCOP is built on three concepts; 1) the temporal synchronization of multimodal information, 2) accelerated work by unrestricted information sharing and 3) application framework associated with video streaming systems. In order to realize these concepts, we propose a synchronization method for multiple information sources based on a video time-code and an information presentation method using a video overlay scheme. For evaluation, we implemented a prototype of REMOCOP, which achieves overlay rendering by 4k60p. In a test of temporal synchronization, REMOCOP achieved accurate synchronization within ± 17ms. |
