Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) To effectively use satellite bandwidth and satellite power of SATCOM systems and to correspond to change of the propagation variation for every earth station, this paper proposes a dynamic spectrum controlled channel allocation (SPOT) algorithm for SATCOM systems that use new transmission techniques we have developed: spectrum compression and division transmission. Conventional adaptive coding and modulation (ACM) algorithm cannot fully use a satellite bandwidth and power effectively. To overcome this problem, the SPCT algorithm performs transmitted power control and channel re-allocation with various transmission parameters such as ACM mode, spectrum compression ratio and number of spectrum divisions. Simulation results show that SPCT algorithm increases system throughput by up to 1.3 times compared to ACM algorithm.
