Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper discusses a challenge in deploying periodogram for the purpose of spectrum sensing. Past simulation study has revealed that periodogram and its variants performed poorly in detecting a single tone sinusoid with varying phase in the presence of noise. In this study on the periodograms' performance, we investigate the effects of segmentation of the sampled sequence, overlapping between segments, and windowing of each segment. Results show that the Bartlett method of periodogram (0% overlapping, without windowing) gives the best performance, when the number of segments matches the number of phase change in the sampled sinusoid.
