Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) It has been indicated that there is the close relation at silicon intake and bone mineral density (BMD). In addition, the intake of silicon is also indicated for suppression of the arteriosclerosis and improvement in the immune function. However, until now objective verification hardly was done. Then, in this study, we first performed tensile test on bone and blood vessel of rats of 13 by the silicon and rare sugar intake, and the stress-strain characteristic was analyzed, and the dynamic strength of bone and blood vessel was evaluated. As the result, the strain in the maximum stress of blood vessel of the silicon intake group, rare sugar intake group and both intake group were significantly bigger than the control group. The rupture stress of the radius of the silicon intake group was significantly bigger than that of the control group. By the rare sugar intake, it was proven that the rupture stress of the ulna radius was significantly bigger that the control group.
