Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Sometimes it is difficult to comprehend a scene in a novel because the expression is difficult or complicated. In such a case, illustrations as seen in juvenile novels help the readers to understand the scene. This work proposes an automatic illustration creation system which detects the difficult parts to understand by analyzing the linguistic feature. In this paper, based on the assumption that illustrations are inserted when the scenes are important, a method to estimate the parts where illustrations exist in a real novel using TF-IDF will be stated. In addition, a mechanism to construct a picture focusing on 5W information in important sentences will be discussed.
