Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) To operate IEEE 802.11g based wireless LANs (WLANs) and IEEE 802.15.4 based wireless personal area networks (WPANs) in the 2.4 GHz band or the same location, we had proposed the coexistence scheme called distributed active channel reservation of coexistence (DACROS). In the DACROS scheme, a WPAN system is exclusively assigned traffic resources. However, when there are multiple WPANs in a WLAN cell, WLAN throughput performances are deteriorated because wireless channel is individually assigned to multiple WPANs. This paper proposes the synchronization method between multiple WPANs to solve this problem. Computer simulations and theoretical analysis show that proposed method improve the throughput performances of WLAN in the WLAN and WPANs coexistence system.
