Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose noise detection based on 4th order cumulant for impact noise. The proposed method takes advantage of high frequency component of noisy speech and the 4th order cumulant which increases as the signal changes faster. Although the impact noise has wide band component, the speech does not have the high frequency component. Thus, the proposed noise detection uses the power of high frequency component. In order to improve detection accuracy of impact noise, 4th order cumulant of power is used. Because the power of the impact noise changes faster than that of speech, the impact noise has larger 4th order cumulant than the speech. Therefore, the impact noise can be detected strictly.
