Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Reservation and Reservation-less sleep control are proposed for power saving control of Access point (AP). In the Reservation sleep control, AP uses an access forbidden period to improve the power saving efficiency. On the other hand, in the Reservation-less sleep control, AP does not use the access forbidden period. When a traffic is high, the power saving efficiency of both methods suddenly get worst. In this paper, we propose a logical link control (LLC) layer burst transmission method. By using the LLC burst transmission method, the AP can control the transmission traffic in the LLC layer, therefore the AP can be kept at sleep state longer than the conventional methods. We show the improvement of the power saving efficiency by evaluating the performance of traffic and sleep rate.
