Abstract(in English) In this report, a new image sharpening method for the enlarged and blurred image, which is obtained by enlarging a small-size image, is proposed. In the proposed method, it is assumed that a high-resolution image is available for the process of image-size reduction. Then the edge information of the image is embedded into the size-reduced image, and the information is used for the sharpening of the enlarged and blurred image. Through the experiments using some digital images, the effectiveness of the proposed method is verified.
