Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Generally tachometer generators and transponders are used to detect the train location in on-board systems. However, it is required to compensate the effects caused by wheel slips and skids. Therefore, we are proposing a method, called Hybrid INS, which combines tachometer generators and inertial sensors to make the detection of the train position more dependable. As a case study, we applied our proposing method to a variable axle load vehicle. This vehicle has a larger range of the inclination change than the conventional one and has possibilities to make inertial sensors affected by the gravitational acceleration. In this paper we show the results of a field test.
