Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Crack detection technique in productions and constructions is the important technique which prevents failure and collapse of them. Crack detection is generally performed visual check, and imposes upon the inspector an enormous amount of labor. Therefore crack detection technology with less amount of labor is required. So crack detection technique using image processing is proposed. However, there were problems that the boundary line generated by shadows was faultily detected as a crack, and crack with a long size was undetected. We utilize the image composition technique which creates the panoramic image, and overcome this problems. By running a program, we verified that the proposed method realized reduction of false detection and undetected crack.
