Safety-related International Standards and Certification : Issues of RAMS Standard and Study of Solutions (1)

Abstract(in English) Importance of conformity assessment against functional safety standards which are EN 50126 or others is increasing in railway markets abroad. These standards require not only technical achievement of safety, reliability and safety but also validity of the achieving process. Therefore necessary document structure to show evidences of conformity with the standards are different from structure of general technical documents. Furthermore there are many issues against certificate acquisition activity caused by international gap of safety design methodologies or by language barrier. This paper reports history, structure, features of, and document structure for the standards, then introduces certification activities of Railway Certification Center of National Traffic Safety and Environment Laboratory.
