Abstract(in English) In data center, it is necessary to optimize air conditioning efficiency from the viewpoint of PUE(Power Usage Efficiency). On the other hand, with increase of the data capacity, the amount of an optical cable or the optical fiber cord increases, and influence on air conditioning thereby comes out. When a particularly unnecessary cord is put away in free access host, it blocks up the passage of the air conditioning, and air conditioning efficiency turns worse. Therefore we developed the Field-Installable Fusion Splice-on optical connecter which could be attached to an optical cable. As a result, we can perform the connector installation by adjusting length and an unnecessary cord disappears, and it is possible for congestion evasion, air conditioning efficiency optimization. We have realized the low insertion loss equal to an installation product, high reliability in a factory.
