Effects of audio- visual interaction on time reproduction task

Abstract(in English) How human percept duration marked by multisensory stimuli is an ongoing debate. The present study tried to examine this subject by using a time-reproduction task and comparing performances for visual time, auditory time, and audio-visual time. Our results showed that the time reproductions were more accurate and stable when the durations marked by audio-visual stimuli than by single sensory stimuli, and that the perceived audio-visual time almost corresponded to the mean of the visual and the auditory time.
