Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Head-Related Transfer Functions (HRTF) characterize sound propagation between a sound in a free field source and the listener's ears. Since HRTFs are strongly dependent on the listeners ' anthropometric features, such as the shape of their pinnae, measurement for each subject is required. Moreover, as HRTF are functions of the relative positions of the sound sources and the listener's ears, the measurement requires the subject to remain still, maintaining a constant posture for a 40-minutes long while the measurements take place inside a sound proof room. This must be tiring, making it hard for the subjects to concentrate this task. This task can be easier by providing the subjects with a spatial reference to counter their movements. In this paper, a visual feedback system to notify the subjects of their head movements is proposed. The results show the visual feedback to help the subjects remain at the specified position during a 40-minutes long experiment.
